Already Celebrating Half-Millionth FIAT 500

FIAT's Katowice, Poland factory has reached another important milestone with the 500,000th FIAT 500 rolling off the production line... the car has reached this historic figure in just 21 months from launch. While on-sale in 83 countries, the strongest markets include Italy (244,755 units), France (58,425), the Great Britain (51,445), Germany (48,319), Holland (13,682), Switzerland (10,765), Spain (10,103), Belgium (9,548), Japan (9,030) and Austria (8,648).
In addition to success on the sales front, the Fiat 500 has already won 40 international awards and has received the prestigious Euro NCAP 5-star crash safety rating... in short, this 50+mpg  car's a winner-  and coming to a Chrysler dealer near you just in-time for Christmas, America- the company is said to be considering 4 different versions of the car for the US market.

  1. Proud to be a 500 owner. :) That car has got more personality than half the people I know.

    I hope it does do well across the pond. Is there much of a demand for city cars in the US?
