Return of a proud tradition...?
MARANELLO, Italy (Dow Jones)--Fiat SpA's (F.MI) chief executive Friday said having the Italian car maker's struggling sports brand Alfa Romeo enter competitive racing mightn't be a bad idea.
"Alfa return to racing? It's not a bad idea," Sergio Marchionne told reporters, according to MF-Dow Jones.
Marchionne was attending the presentation of Fiat-owned Ferrari's new car for the next Formula 1 racing season.
In contrast to the luxury sports car maker, Alfa Romeo loses money and Fiat is trying to revive the brand with new models and a return to the U.S...
